A worksheet to practice the present tense of dar, ir, ser, ver, estar, hacer
For each infinitive, conjugate it for all 6 persons in the present tense. Then, write a 7 word minimum sentence with each infinitive and use a different subject (person) in every sentence. Post the word count at the end of every sentence.

Combine elements from columns A, B, C, and D to form logical sentences using the present tense. For each sentence follow these guidelines:
Use a different subject (person) in every sentence. No subjects can be repeated.
Conjugate the verb in the present tense and make the appropriate stem change as needed.
Choose the right phrase in column C so that your sentence makes sense.
Students will write a total of 16 sentences

This activity is a structured practice with regular -ar, -er, -ir verbs in the preterit tense where students will write original sentences as they are being introduced to the preterit.
For each infinitive (-ar, -er, and -ir), students will write 6 sentences. A structured template is provided with the infinitive and stem. Students will write the correct ending in the box provided and add 5-6 words to create an original sentence. Preterit verb endings for -ar, -er, and -ir are provided.

Imagine that you are an advice expert who has been called on a radio show. Many people will be calling you regarding their new year’s resolutions and they want your advice as to how to fulfill them. For each of the 12 resolutions, offer advice using a different introductory verb (present tense) and a different present subjunctive verb. A list of introductory verbs is provided below, or you can use others that you know.

A reading and writing activity about Christmas in Spanish
Read the letter that Marcos wrote his friend José about how he celebrated Christmas last year and how he used to celebrate Christmas as a child. Complete the letter using the preterit and imperfect tenses.
The letter has two paragraphs (one preterit and one imperfect). The preterit paragraph has 16 verbs, the imperfect paragraph has 15 verbs (ser is used three times)
As a follow up, students can write their own letter on how they celebrated last Christmas and how they used to celebrate Christmas in their childhood. Guidelines are provided

This practice can be used prior to or after the Christmas holiday.
Students will create 24 original verb conjugations (regular, irregular, stem change, and spelling change) in the present subjunctive with the guidelines provided. Students will create 24 different subjects as well. The 24 infinitives are provided for students to use along with a sentence starter for all 4 categories (regular, irregular, stem change, and spelling change)
You can use this activity as a bell ringer or exit slip as students are learning various conjugations of the present subjunctive. Students can also do the activity in pairs or alone as a review for a test or quiz.
Modified copy of the activity for sentence writing is included. Students can add extra words after the verb conjugation to create original sentences.
Students will be given a list of clue words in the preteterit and imperfect tenses (ayer, cada noche etc) along with 30 infinitives, and some subjects. For each infinitive, students will create an original conjugation in the preterit and imperfect using a different clue word and subject.

Practice: Jobs with present subjunctive
Luisa Ruiz is a radio show host. Today, her guest is Alfredo Sampó, a career advice expert (un experto en asesoramiento profesional). People can call and get advice for their job related issues. For each job issue mentioned, answer using a different introductory verb (present tense) and an appropriate solution from the word bank below. You cannot repeat any introductory verbs or solutions.

Complete the conversations below by using an indirect object pronoun (me, te, le, nos, os, se) for the first blank and the correct conjugation of gustar type verb for the second blank.
